Aura: I agree, the intro needs to be shortened at least, perhaps add another chorus somewhere as well. Venus: this has the hugest possibility of either flopping hard or being the biggest smash this era. Risk worth taking as a 4th or 5th single. *Same thing can be said about Sexxx Dreams, but its more pop-dance kind of song which will automatically catch more attention. That's true. But Gaga has done the s-xual image a lot before. ARTPOP is like new new. But I agree Sexxx dreams is a good song that might do great as well. Its not like whatever I say or you say or anyone say is true, we are discussing based on our opinions and guts. I don't judge a song's future commercial success based on if its safe or not. ARTPOP-goes nowhere, won't make sense to anyone and is way too boring for the casual listener. Aura-you'd have to cut the first minute of the song for the radio, whats left? 2 mins? Venus-way too experimental and in your face. ARTPOP has a very good beat, it's very fresh and the lyrics aren't explicit. Next to that, the song is one of the few songs that are radio candy without being generic. There are a lot of interesting things in the song too, if you only listen to one side of your earphones you'll hear a robotic voice and if you listen to the other side of your earphone only you'll hear some kind of accapella. In my opinion, it's a better song than Sexxx Dreams, the lyrics are better, the instrumental is better and next to that, Gaga likes the song more - she's mentioned it multiple times as one of her favourite songs from the album. How is ARTPOP boring though? And why can't they just keep the first minute? Songs like Bad Romance take a lot of time full of weirdness before getting to the chorus too. Venus is experimental? Yes. Too experimental? No, that doesn't exist in my opinion. And with DWUW Gaga's shown that her radio candy doesn't get picked up faster than her riskier singles. Ellen usually doesn't do much for songs. The bridge is quite climactic and the way the song ends with free my mind is pretty satisfying I would say. That's called harmony, you know she does that in all of her songs right?... Its not about which lyrics are better, they're both different topics, at least Sexxx Dreams makes sense. It can't become a huge single though its impossible, its not for the masses. Still if it becomes platinum or double platinum in the US its a huge achievement and Id love it to happen.
