It makes as though Gaga only had just 1 hugely successful era, when in reality she had two (and three for the first half of BTW). I'll be surprised if Bey opens with 1M+ WW though, she's missing out on important market such as Japan and South Korea with an iTunes-only release, and iTunes isn't big for selling albums in Europe, at most she'll sell what a #1 single on iTunes sells in a week, so she could end up selling 20k in Germany, 50k+ in the UK, 10-20k in Australia, 10k in France - which is all pretty low. She's granted with longetivity, because she's building up hype for physical release and at the same time she's making digital albums MUCH more important in Europe. This could really be a breakthrough in selling albums: Worldwide iTunes could become the biggest retailers rather than physical, all thanks to Beyoncé. Born This Way leaked, most songs/instrumentals were heard before the album. It's not just not leaking, it's the hype. Beyonce's album has hype EVERYWHERE now. Media is praising Beyonce left and right, all pop fans are standing in the line to buy iTunes giftcards now and the soccer moms are camping in front of Target to buy their (clean) Beyoncé.
