People are always ecstatic the day they get the next album.

Beyonce has given her kids the whote box of chocolates to eat in one day. No fun anticipating a treat, and no more candy in a couple weeks when they get bored.

True. That's the disadvantage of releasing everything including visuals. And that'll be the challenge for her and her team to keep that interest burning for months to come. Otherwise, just like how it got its sudden release, its end might just suffer the same fate.

That's what happens when you release an aural turd between two likely 4 million selling #1 smashes.

That's what happens when you give steering wheel to Katy's hands.

Probably Huncle will fall faster than Roar

9. KATY PERRY - Unconditionally: 83.769 (- 1.335)

10. KATY PERRY - Roar: 82.809 (- 1.476)

KATY PERRY - Dark Horse: 14.851 (+ 1.947)

Capitol are probably fuming

Since it's only rhythmic at the moment it probably won't go Top 10 or anything by the end of the month.

But Capitol would be fuming - Uncle and Roar will meet Dark Horse at around 40M AI I'd say, which is poor for a radio artist who has busted out three singles 60 days apart.

Comparatively, DWUW will meet Applause at about 70M (all going well), so Gaga won't have been absent from the Top 15 since Applause's release.

Uncle is still the focus track at pop radio apparently, Dark Horse is just for rhythmic.

Until today anyway, I presume they're planning Dark Horse's release strategy as we speak

I bet they're pressed Uncle flopped though.

Pop radio jumped on DH the day Capitol released it to Rhythmic. They were probably confused, but happy to play it.

in b4 beyonce fails to match other girls  sales at the end of the week.then everybody will be laughing at this move she did. how is everybody certain that her new album will sell big?i dont get it?

Nope, no one will be laughing because such a tactic was not done to smash all other girls. That would require promo, anticipation and a lead single.

Wait why isn't DWUW being promoted to Urban/Urban AC?

R. Kelly has 16M AI on those formats with another collaboration at the moment, and most Top 10 radio songs at the moment are multi-format.

What do we see? When it has a very good update on pop, it must have a bad one on rhtyhmic.

Anyway, overall this is good.

7. MILEY CYRUS - Wrecking Ball: 109.508 (- 3.001)

Biggest drop of the day. It peaked high but not great longevity. High burn rate no doubt.

Guys I want to ask a question .

HOW THE HELL IS PRISM STILL SELLING ?

Katy Perry (Capitol) 55-60k

Three singles within the top 30 on iTunes must have been pushing it. And her core fan base, I assume, comes heavily from the younger demographics, well the very young ones for that matter. Her album is a decent present this Holiday season.
