Kevbev 377
I think the label pulled the plug on ARTPOP. I don't really see any promotion from them. It's all Gaga performing at various events. I think you will see DWUW video around the time the tour starts. All that's coming from Gaga is about touring and how she loves to perform. This album simply could not sell enough to keep Interscope putting money into it. I think they will probably break even. Gaga herself will do very well with the tour i believe. Would they really give up that easily though? I mean, that would be pretty sad.

I would press pause right now like they've been doing for a month now. I wouldn't give up, just pick up and let the bouyancy of the tour try to sell some albums. heavyMetalGAGA 65
It's not selling THAT bad to the point where Interscope is going to stop promoting their biggest female artists' album. I agree, but do you mind explaining something to me? Since she fired Troy, who is in charge of her campaign? Interscope is still doing promotion for her cause Troy was only one part of the company, right?
gagabro 267
Ready for Lea Michele to slay the US with Cannonball tbqh. Hopefully Glee fans can support her ... and it's very radio friendly. Get it on iTunes now

Yes, it is selling that bad. It's struggling to reach Gold in 5 weeks. That's almost unbelievable. There's no momentum anymore. It's simply flailing. I hope the tour changes that. She needs to release the video STAT. And maybe the Tony Bennett album will also help ARTPOP sales...

It's not selling bad enough for a label to give up on it. Xtina's label pushed Lotus even when it wasn't pushing farther past the 200k mark. Obviously Interscope wouldn't give up on an album headed towards 500,000 for sure.

Probably a 1/3 of sales of ARTPOP have come from the discount at Amazon at $3.99 mp3 version. If it were not for that we'd be looking at a number like Xtina's. Klou 2,414
Let's get real now... The album's sales are very disappointing. We can't be in denial forever, but I'm just to the point where I don't even care anymore
Alchemist 0
They are disappointing but we're only on the second single.. it's not like we're ending the era with these numbers. Anything could happen still tbh

Anything could happen still tbhOh I completely agree. She just needs to release a single that the public really loves. Applause was a good, but not great selling lead single and the public isn't showing too much interest in DWUW. They simply just don't have enough reason to buy the album yet. With the right single *cough* Gypsy *cough* we should see the sales at least stay somewhat stable.

Anything could happen still tbh Exactly. People literally did the same with Applause. "Will this even reach Platinum?" "Will it even go Top 10 on POP?!?" "Top 10 for 7 weeks AT LEAST" I say give it time.
