Innovative 17
Yeah. I think it was a terrible time to release it. I didn't even know it was out until this afternoon. I was with friends all night and slept in till around 1pm. I woke up to the news. A lot of people don't even realize it's out. I don't think it was a bad time, there's not much other new music out right now, plus Christmas music is put away for the year and since its the New Year people may look on iTunes for new music for any gift cards they got. Timing is right, once things get back into the normal swing tomorrow I think radios will be eating it up along with the internet
Arturo 40,746
I really hope Billboard or Yahoo Chart Analysis actually CONFIRM that Applause has passed the 2M mark tomorrow..
Valextra 58
this version been released during the post-Voice week, it could have brought a greater impact. Yeah... The problem with this era are the timetables... it's the first of the year and young people are sleeping outside on friends home or they are on vacation, not the best day to release this song. Whatevah..
Mills 446
I really hope Billboard or Yahoo Chart Analysis actually CONFIRM that Applause has passed the 2M mark tomorrow.. Same here. Just to end all the doubts about it. And for us to have an actual source.

Yahoo seems to be the one that reports those kinds of things. I remember they reported Treasure passing 2M not too long ago.
CharlesReyna 0
As hard as it is to wait for the video, i'm pretty sure it would have been too much of a gamble and a potential pr disaster to include R. Kelly. He's in deep **** right now. It makes sense now for the holding pattern and the New Years reset with Xtina. I did read in a yahoo article that the video would be coming in early 2014. It might not help much now for DWUW but at least ARTPOP is back on track with the help of the Xtina remix and the Itunes discount. It's great to see that there still is alot of demand for the album. monketsharona 82,312
She can release 150 versions of the song the problem is still the same : lack of promo + absence of video. The track is not going to rise without this ****in' video...
Stefani328 321
#42 United States Free falling now. lol - ARTPOP #6 United States Hold on, queen! #35 to #42 is not freefalling. People never get the definition of freefalling right. I was just so excited about it being released, I did not think about how it was such a bad day to release something. I don't think anyone was worried about buying songs on Itunes with hangovers. Glad the album is holding.
Stefani328 321
KIIS is playing the Xtina version I remember when I was younger and would listen to the radio religiously they would latch on to remixes if they were really good. I'm not sure if radio formats do that anymore. I hope it does with the remix.

They won't latch onto it unless Interscope officially sent it to radio And if they actually did that Then this would be like the 3rd single era

Supply both to Pop and Hot AC radio, tell them to play what they want.

VenusDreams 21
As a fan, I am confused. What am I supposed to be supporting? I've been frequently streaming DWUW (w/ R. Kelly) and requesting it on radio. But now with the Xtina remix, are we supposed to now focus our attention on promoting this version instead? What the hell do you want me to do Gaga? My head hurts. What a mess.
Arturo 40,746
DWUW ft. Xtina just played on KIIS but it's credited as DWUW ft. R. Kelly.... I hope this solves the problems of "will airplay be combined or separate" http://www.mediabase.com/whatsong/whatsong.asp?var_s=075073073083045070077
