US Charts Discussion

Does anybody know if music videos have a big impact in Canada? And does there hot 100 use also a combination of sales, airplay, and streaming?

Videos - about the same as US (internet only).

Billboard doesn't track streaming (yet?) for out Hot 100, so its sales + airplay. Which helps DWUW.

I know HDD predicted #15 for next week, but I hope it can be #10 with the sudden iTunes rise. :ohno:

Beyoncé (Columbia) 275-290k
One Direction (SYCO/Columbia) 130-145k
Eminem (Shady/Aftermath/Interscope) 125-140k
Frozen (Walt Disney) 120-135k
Katy Perry (Capitol) 90-100k
Garth Brooks (Pearl) 90-100k
Lorde (Lava/Republic) 75-85k
Imagine Dragons (KidinaKorner/Interscope) 65-75k
Now 48 (UMe) 55-65k
The Robertsons (EMI Nashville) 50-60k
Luke Bryan (Capitol Nashville) 50-60k
Drake (YM/CM/Republic) 45-55k
Florida Georgia Line (Republic Nashville) 45-50k
Kelly Clarkson (RCA) 40-45k
Lady Gaga (Interscope) 40-45k

It's not completely out of reach to be #10

I think those HDD projections are for last week's (X'mas week) sales. Billboard will release the actual numbers tomorrow.

The sudden rise in AP's sales due to the iTunes discount will only affect next week's chart.

Then they noted that ARTPOP was discounted last week when it is false

I've actually just been reading the thread on ATRL and there's this massive confusion on whether these are last weeks or this weeks....

The remix has started freefalling already in Mexico.. I see Canada is next and then USA

I am surprised it go this far tbh. I really was not expecting for anybody to care for a gaga and xtina remix, even though the stanworld was crazy for it. But the stan world is not the real world.

I actually hope those are LAST WEEK's sales.

That means ARTPOP maintained a good hold at #15 while being in the 40's on iTunes.

Good physical sales then.....

But why would HDD release a "prediction" for sales that should already be in..?

You know that Gaga's fanbase is the second biggest in USA right?

I am surprised because the public barely knows about this remix (and it's Jan 1st) and it still managed to do this good.

Ok so if those were truly last weeks sales I guess ARTPOP is at 587,000 - 592,000

:p
