Yes, I am just stating it. Still Madonna took the idea of Voging and gave it a form in Pop music. That b---h is a b---h but she has seen a lot of innovative winters...

True, but tbh most of things nowadays are lot harder to do. I mean if you were to do such things on a commercial level, with internet being in every corner of the earth. The other good implementation I've seen recently was Bey's dance idea that she flew over dancers from Mozambique for Run the World.

I wonder if Katy's gonna win that Grammy when she's nominated with Sara and her Brave. It would be kinda weird if Katy won

Whispering

I am not saying Gaga shouldn't have done SNL, and I am not saying she shouldn't have performed the song but I am saying that a video is more Important than a performance because:

1. A video is a video

2. When it comes to Lady Gaga vision and Imagery is as Important as music

3. A performance gives a bigger boost that lasts SHORTLY while a video gives a steady boost for a longer, way longer period of time. And a video is most likely to remain remembered compared to a performance.

SNL was not a performance. Gaga was the host/musical guest. SNL has major pop culture significance in the US, especially in certain audience groups- some that Gaga would have trouble ever reaching, much less getting them to watch a random video for a second single.

You never know what a performance or video may or may not do. Depends on the song, the performance, the audience and the video. Some videos, like some performances, don't do much, if anything, for a song. Some performances are like Blurred Lines on The Voice or Stay at The Grammys. Some videos are like WB. Sometimes no one pays attention to either. The very best exposure for good songs is radio play and commercials. Past that, it's a toss up, you never know what will work or won't and to what extent.

You are wrong here. Now the song has a lot of radio support and exposure so a lot of people are searching it and with the video much more people get attracted and like the song that when they see just and audio. Also the video gets a lot more exposure on social media and on Television.

Nope, I'm not. Music Industry studies report that the majority of single sales come from radio and that radio listeners buy a song after hearing from hearing it multiple times on the radio. (not from viewing a video)

The majority of these people do not have time, nor do they have the desire, to search out videos of the songs they hear. THEY DON"T CARE! They don't want to see the person's video, they just like the song. If hit songs meant there had to be a hit video, and vice versa, then ALL of Rihanna's songs would have gone #1. She wouldn't have any flops, and she has had many.

All the top 5 songs of the past would also have the top 5 views on their videos. One Direction would have a multitude of top 5 hits. Songs that were in the top 10 wouldn't have low view counts on their videos. It's all too inconsistent.
