Why? The internet is a global library of EVERYTHING under your fingertips. Human art, just like human history, repeats itself. It's only technology which keeps accelerating. 'We', as humans, have not changed, really. You could argue that all songs have already been written. And when it comes to pop music.... well, let's just say that it mostly uses only 2-6 chords anyway. The variations are not endless. I agree with you.
