Mariano 958
Indeed, you don't get it. Being global isn't about selling much, but it's about how big you are everywhere around the world. If you're basically a non-factor in East-Asia, you can't actually be considered global. Stromae's album is selling better and has sold better than Gaga's. Does that make him global? No. Exactly .. Luc 4,775
Rihanna is huge here in Europe (i'm only talking about my country - wich is nothing ) even Right Now was a huge radio hit here, and i think Unapologetic is still top 50 here, while ARTPOP is 179 According to this site ARTPOP is #4 but I don't know, it says 'semana 46' which probably means 46th week http://www.artistas-espectaculos.com/noticias/pt/topafp.htm

Snowyrain 38
Because her albums and singles don't do well there and her tours don't do well there either? Valextra 58
Gaga in the last 5 years was definitely the biggest artist in popularity globally without doubts.

mmonster 290
32 Lady Gaga - Do What U Want (feat. R. Kelly) (+1) (i know this is useless but whatever ) Edit: 53 Lady Gaga - Applause (+2) GET READY FOR THE SLAYAGE
Valextra 58
Sales are not synonymous of popularity. For example a lot of my friends know and like Adele's songs when they heard them on the radio, but they don't know who she is. I don't know an only person who doesn't know who is Lady Gaga. Mariano 958
Oh I didn't think about touring , youre right ! she really slayed with BTW Ball tour there her concerts in Asia and Australia were the most successful I think ... That's why I really can't understand why she is doing so bad there but If people don't like her music, they won't buy It just because she is a great artist and she is really talented, but they would definitely go to her concerts because of the 2 reasons i mentioned.
