Well, yes of course she'll go everywhere but she can't have this tour gross less than 180$ million, and 180$ million is a HARD task. The BTWBall had ridiculous prices in East-Asia and Australia, and this tour probably won't so she'll need more dates or more demand than the BTWBall (which she doesn't have) to make up for it.

She can't milk Asia. You must know that BTW was promoted in Singapore, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan, she just had smash hits BTW, TeoG, (Bloody Mary in Taiwan), Telephone in 2 years span, it was very hyped and BTW did about 4x better in East-Asia than ARTPOP so far. Katy's singles have overshadowed Gaga's in all East-Asian countries besides Japan and Unconditionally is already a 10x bigger hit than DWUW in all countries besides South Korea.

There's no way Gaga can tour stadiums there without a smash hit this era.

GMAYL is a bigger hit than Applause here, don't know about other European contries.

Can we stop comparing the charts to the touring market so quickly? I don't know where to start but I'll try and tackle some misconceptions.

Gaga is smashing in Taiwan. Applause, as of the December 6 chart update, sits at #3 on the official chart after a #1 peak. The single was also a hit in South Korea & Japan, hitting #1 in the former and reaching #19 on the year end chart in the latter, being only 1 of 3 Western singles to make it into the Top 20 along with Get Lucky and Call Me Maybe. Do What U Want has also achieved moderate success, reaching #2 on the South Korean chart and boasting Top 40 peaks in other Asian markets.

ARTPOP reached #1 on official charts in Japan and Taiwan, with a Top 3 peak in South Korea. Keep in mind these are local-act dominated markets. No internationally recognised charts are available for Singapore, the Phillippines, Hong Kong or Thailand but it goes without saying that she hit #1 in these markets on iTunes for considerable lengths of times.

You're right, Gaga smashed in 2011 - especially in Taiwan. Judas went #1 for 1 week, followed closely the next with 3 week chart topper Bloody Mary and finally a 6 week chart reign by The Edge of Glory - all consecutively.

What I'm saying is, with no chart information for four of the seven countries Gaga visited in 2012, we can't come to conclusions. All signs are looking good however, as in Taiwan, Japan and South Korea where we do have chart information she's doing incredibly.

We should also be wary of comparing Gaga's success from past eras against her in situations like these. Hell yeah, she had incredible Asian success with the Born This Way era - both in chart success and concert reviews + crowds! Off the back of this, will she really have to downscale to one arena a country, or just be a no show altogether? Pff. From this point on, an album with longevity and even a couple of moderate hits will only help her. She'll be just fine in Asia, let's not be alarmed.

I was basing it off Spotify streams, since there are probably 2000x more people who use Spotify than those who use iTunes in East-Asia. But yeah, DWUW is already out of the top 500 iTunes - which is relevant there - in Japan, out of the official Top 200 in South Korea, and out of the Top 50 Spotify Streaming charts in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Malaysia (Applause is still in the Top 50 in those countries though).

Guys Gaga has still strong support from Asia. The prices for BTWB in Japan were ridiculous but she can make up for it with one extra date.

Fun fact: The General Attendance tickets cost 300$

The Japanese can still afford it, but Gaga had average $200 ticket cost in Moscow and Taipei :rip: and the Latin American leg of the BTWBall 'flopped' (didnt sell out) because the tickets costed too much at first.

Hmm, The first two examples were irrelevant as both countries can afford them. As for the Latin American I totally agree with you

but these who use Itunes (for example buying ARTPOP etc..) are more Interested in the artist while these who use spotify can listen to something just for the sake of listening to it ... u know ...

Moscow - only the upper class

Taiwan - no :toofunny: people in Greece earn more on average, imagine if Gaga came to your country and the average ticket costed €180

If we stream the song to death it might hit #10 at least in the U.S. It's close to there. How did get Dope there?

That had 15 million streams, which is c r a z y. It had a Youtube ad though, and if you clicked it and then watched the whole way through it was recognised as a stream.

Which is why she should've performed DWUW at The Youtube Awards, because then the song would at least have an #8 peak.
