On TV Gaga is always set as the example as a big popstar, she's always put as a person to compare to and she's seen as the biggest popstar, but in reality her career is a gigantic flop here. This country is such a big potential market Thriller sold 1,4M here and 21 sold 500k here. Why can't Gaga just go promote here a lot and build a big fanbase? Thriller When thriller was released an album that sold 10M WW was a major underperformance. These are the days that music would still sell and only worthy artists would become successful, not Nicki Minaj and Pitbull. As you said by yourself even 21 has sold 500k and 21 may be one of the 3 biggest commercial success ever considering how much it sold in the digital age when everyone downloads and streams music. Well, it's really like that it seems. But I, personally, don't think there's anything wrong with that...she's definitely going to have some big hits in the future and she's still a really successful touring act, people are excited to see her live, which is much bigger accomplishment for an artist like her in my opinion.
