I'm really afraid DWUW will be dead in the water by the time the video drops. I hate watching her team/label make one stumble after another. DWUW probably has the most hit potential off ARTPOP. It's been the single for TWO MONTHS. The era should be winding down by now. Not waiting for a video still.

Who could say that the song will fall after only 2 days? Everyone has his point of view, I don't see what change now or on the middle January....

In January the song could be also out of the top 20 or 30 for what we kwon.

For your same argument, Capitol hadn't to announce 'DH' as 3 single because we were in Christmas time, but the song after a few days go immediately in the top10, in my opinion if a song has to be impact there is no season that could distrupt that. ;)

 

I don't say that you and Hotrodsgaga are not right, maybe you are perfectly right... I only hope to not read in January 'she needed to premiere in the video in December or November' if the things are not going like we hope, speaking in general...

 

Of course I would love the video to come in November or early December, it was the better thing to do... but I think she should wait now that we're days away from Christmas.

She sounds SO much better whenever she does acoustic performances. She struggles to hit notes against the full track because she just yells. Her dynamic projection just isn't good enough. She really can sing but her technique isn't that good. Performances like this are way more flattering for her.

 

Well ofc, when people say a pop star can't sing they are shading or just dumb. You have to be able to sing at least a little bit to record music. There is only so much Auto-tune can do.  (well unless you wanna sound like robotney  )

 

I think Katy has control issues and pitch issues that don't become so much of a problem when performed acoustic like that. The problem for her is she's only ever gonna work as a pop star and the pop scene expects fun/upbeat songs and elaborate performances and vids. You can only really do the in front of a mic thing if you sound like Adele or something.

Here in Serbia her last hit was The One That Got Away, and her biggest hit from TD is ET. I guess she's not global as Gaga. Applause is a hit here.

In Spain her only hits have been I Kissed A Girl, Hot N' Cold, California Gurls and Firework. Fortunately no more songs have been successful lol radio doesn't like to play her music and her fandom is so little compared to Gaga's or 1D's.
