That was really fast. It's interesting if Beyonce could push a song from her new album into the top 10. If she does, then my doubts with this era in terms of hit singles would be gone.

I dunno if promo peaks singles mean much tbh, A certain amount of fans are gonna buy promo singles from their faves. 

 

It's not had the performance here it had in the US at all.

My point was about DH's chart peak in the uk meaning nothing. It was not an argument for the song being a flop.

 

You said it would definitely be a hit because of the peak and I pointed out it's not really had a good performance so far and that the peak could be meaningless ect. 

 

Gaga is flopping in Australia but not here so how do similarities matter? Plus I said in my comment that it will probably be a hit in Australia. 

 

I said I am not sure if it will be a global hit or not and I can't imagine it being a big hit here. It could still be a hit but I just don't see it being massive here and I have my doubts about global sales. This is just my opinion ofc.

Out of interest how many non Americans like DH?

 

I don't get why it's so popular, I hater Roar too but at least I could understand why that would smash, this is boring and allot of it sounds terrible, the only bit I like at all is the buildup bit in the chorus but what comes after is totally underwhelming.  

DH is simply better than Roar ...  It's not generic and It's fresh for Katy.

I didn't say it would be a hit just because of the peak That's an indicator though. Promo singles hardly ever chart well and it nearly went top 20 and hung around in the top 100 on iTunes for a while with no promo.

 

And wow I never said the charts are TOTALLY IDENTICAL, I said that we often have similarities so it could follow the performance like many songs do. And it already has been a hit in Australia
