Guys don't forget that DH is not an official single yet ... And even tho in America It's only formality (because the song is already embraced as a single) in the other countries It's not.. 

I am so tired of waiting for the video :(   We have never been so patient ... we waited for month for the video and it was a lot of wait but everyone was like "Next week's the perfect moment etc.." but this now is complete ****ERY I mean .... seriously

I'm excited to see how is this song going to do in Europe, cause I feel that trap/hip-hop is not that popular here, but maybe this song is something that's going to do well here exactly because of that- it's new and fresh. And I agree with the "new" sound part, cause even with Gaga I feel like it would be great to hear something "new" from her, something surprising, absolutely different from dance music.

I feel like Gaga does this with every album though. Especially with BTW and ARTPOP. You and I and TEOG are great examples along with the current single DWUW.

Is DH gonna sell anywhere other than the US though? 

Once it tops the HOT 100 chart, I believe others would likely follow due to the bandwagon effect. It's quite rare for a HOT 100 chart-topping song to not hit the top elsewhere, or at least a handful of major music markets. The most recent example I've in mind which suffered this rare situation was back in early 2011, Wiz Khalifa's Black and Yellow.

I just watched a spanish tv show that was aired last night, it's called "Tu cara me suena", something like: your face sounds familiar to me

And it is about impersonate singers. The contestants are celebrities. 

So, a girl sang Poker Face last night (it is the third time that they do a Gaga song in the programme). 

And two of the judges are two of the most important and significant singers here in Spain (Marta Sanchez and Monica Naranjo, I don't know if you have heard about them). 

Marta Sanchez said: you know... I'm such a big fan of Lady Gaga, I love her. It was really hard to her to get what she has now, everyone used to reject her when she was young and now look at where she is... she is amazing.

And Monica (one of the best voices of my country, and of the world tbh) said: I love her, she's one of the most complete artist that we have right now.

Rarely ... been requesting like crazy! Though DWUW did increase from #127 to #104 in 24h so I guess that's a good sign ...

Agreed. DWUW is definitely a great example of a new offering from Gaga. That's the reason why it stands out from the rest of ARTPOP. Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if it was released as the lead single. Just the reaction from her casual fans would be priceless enough.

The trap / hip-hop vibe of the song makes it appeal to a wide audience. Plus, it sounds relatively different from her past singles, making it somewhat "special" or "new", well at least for me. And I assume that somewhat "new" sound from her makes people actually buy it. 

 

 

It's catchy for a non-dance radio song. Cute lyrics like "make me your Aphrodite" "are you ready for as perfect storm." Much better than average guest rap. Nothing off putting about it, and fairly fresh sounding.

 

Plus, the song is only getting support it deserves based on itunes demand.

I love Applause It's a great song and It has proved that It has long lasting value because of the different verses (lyrics) and the Applause applause part etc.. but It was such a bad move as a lead single ... Every media was like "Nothing new / typical Gaga dance song etc.. / dated etc.. "  while when she released DWUW as a promo single, everyone was praising Gaga for releasing a safe song   I'll never forget how they always trash Katy etc.. but when Gaga released one of her most radio friendly songs they praised her
