Luc 4,775 Posted December 16, 2013 Share Posted December 16, 2013 If ever there was a time when Gaga needed a controversial or at least shocking performance like 2009 VMAs it's tomorrow in the Voice we all know how performances can affect Gaga. No. I don't want more controversy. I've this master plan. What if Gaga sings Gypsy acoustic at a show, and it becomes a Youtube advertisement played before videos WW? She should really try to record her best vocals so far, have no vocal effects, make her own piano-version of Gypsy like she used to in The Fame era and just sing her lungs out with no crazy dress or make-up either. That used as a Youtube advertisement would be one of the best ideas ever in my opinion. The video would go viral, the performance would help Gypsy on the Billboard Hot 100 A LOT (imagine - she goes #1 thanks to the video, but media just reports that her song is #1 and that she has a smash hit), and she becomes a respected artist. I know Interscope would never be smart enough for this because the single sales for Gypsy wouldn't make up for this (although she wouldn't need any promotion after that anymore; everybody goes on Youtube ). I know it's usually quite messy when she does that but they need to like fade some of the instruments or have them come in at separate times. Not just piano then suddenly the actual track comes in. The Alan Carr performance did well for the song on iTunes and it had a really minimal audience.
