If the general public wasn't here for her the way some of you portray it, Applause wouldn't have lasted for as long as it did. Calm down Yes, First, she's not Chris Brown or even Kanye West who did something henous or made an ass of themselves. She a pop girl no longer flavour of the moment, but not around long enough to be a classic icon. Second, if people are against her they'll find negativity in anything she does (entertaining will equal attention seeking while the opposite will be merely boring; any message in her music will be judged preachy but she'll be slated for just trying to be fun too.). And don't be overdramatic. She obviously hasn't completely lost the GP. Applause is gaining back some support for her music and she's on the right track so shut the **** up and let things play out. The only way that she'll be 'cool' again for a while is if DWUW becomes a smash on Urban radio. It's such a shame people are ashamed of liking Gaga, including me tbh , which is shown in the rankings of most-deleted/hidden artist on last.fm Agreed. Kevbev 447 Posted December 16, 2013 Share Posted December 16, 2013 BTW will stay my favourite unless songs like J&D, Swine, DWUW, MJH, Donatella, MANiCURE, Sexxx Dreams and Gypsy magically grow on me. They all just lack something for me, I like them but not enough now my hype has died down for the album. Perhaps I'll like the songs when the tour starts or if they all get videos? That's how I feel. BTW had such longevity with me. I literally listened to it nonstop for months. With ARTPOP, however, I don't necessarily look forward to listening to it as much as I did with BTW. Idk, it's hard to explain, but the songs just don't resonate with me as much. Only a few of them do, like Gypsy, Swine, and Venus. Hopefully the album still grows on me though. But the only way to actually win the GP back is to completely rebrand herself in their eyes, because right now she's seen as pretentious, gay, and a total drag. She's only 27 but she may as well be 50 in most people's eyes.
