I think it's safe to say that Bey's album is based on hype alone, an ingenious move that will go down in history, but i don't see this lasting past January at best.

Like Adele, sometimes the best hype comes from positioning yourself as anti-hype. Mind games.

Everything depends on thw singles..If it has more than one successful singles then I am afraid it will. If not then it will pull a Justin Bieber Monday release...

Is she even on planning on releasing singles at this point? Like she just released two songs as simultaneous lead singles, like what even? Given the unconventional style of the album release, Beyonce is going to do everything different this era in terms of marketing.

so true, Adele, the anti-Gaga slayed only because there was a Gaga in the first place.

A week of collaborations in the spotlight it would be then! How exciting to see whose video would get the most views by the end of this week. Unless Gaga would opt for a release on Christmas week.

If Interscope is smart, they should arrange some kind of cross-promo between their two big pop star + hip hop star collabs.

Yes, it is really exciting but its also very messy, like the whole last quarter of 2013. Some strong hits will be lost in the process and I hope that we won't be the ones to flop...

So as you said by yourself everything depends on Beyonce's strategy and if it will work...

She he just following what she did with Sasha Fierce single-wise. It got her two hits at once. Rihanna repeated in with Loud.

Promo is exciting. I think Gaga will never do what Adele did and continue to make interpretations of the songs visually, which is what I love about Gaga. It only shows that music is more than a habit to you

The GGD Poll about the best LG album has gathered 300 votes! So GGD's opinion about Lady Gagas albums based on 300 active members is:

ARTPOP > BTW > TFM >>> TF

This happens to agree with my personal opinion so I'm very pleased! :applause:

but these two singles just flew in out of nowhere with no warning. how is the GP, non beyonce stan world going to react? Blow, although it's got nice elements isn't a hit and drunk in love is awful in terms of appeal, but that's just my opinion.

It really is the best complete album. It has the least amount of fillers considering it's a full 15 tracks.

The Haus agreed to Katy's double-act with the Applause vs. Roar promo and it only worked to Katy's advantage  :omfgaga:
