At ggd, the mods and administrator were on all over the charts thread last night, as three of our newly departed GGD members spurred on major meltdowns in that thread (and others). They had to lock the thread and step in with a "this has to stop, no more meltdowns, and please share opinions in a mature manner" message this a.m. Our mods were right for stopping it! Whispering 18,865 Posted December 10, 2013 Share Posted December 10, 2013 Guys just think how wrong It is (especially for Gaga) to have started the era in August 13 and since then she have had only 1 video This alone is a mess, and of course not helping the album sales, let alone the fact that Gaga came off from a BTW and a huge media blackout, Applause get overshadowed by Roar etc.. all the other factors With BTW She had BTW Video Judas video both big controversies and BTW was so huge etc.. with TFM she had Bad Romance only, but It was an EP and It got released quickly after Bad Romance .. (not 3 months like ARTPOP) ... And now for 4 months she has only Applause And 1 video is a really important thing, It's a great promo, It gets played on Television, It's on Youtube/vevo etc.. people share It and let alone that If the video is something like BR/Judas/WB etc.. to get people talkin, It can even make a song a smash .. He got a lot of WP on ATRL, and probably the same on ggd And Nick and Americano. It's highly unlikely, especially nowadays. Gaga has already had her shock videoes. (and I don't mean just s-xual) People expect different or shocking from her, so it's hard for her to create another OMG! video or moment. That's why I don't think the video will be a game changer. She had her game changers early in her career and they didn't just change her career, they changed Pop music. She ushered in a new era in pop music with TF and TFM and that was what spurred on all the hype around that time. Gaga is at a different place now.
