Gov Hooka 8,008
Without all the Voice releases and a Justin Bieber song above her, Do What U Want is still No.17 on iTunes USA and with the second version selling maybe even higher. Furthermore, the song is still on the way to the top 10 on Pop Radio, and she is No.17 on overall AI radio chart with seven songs falling above her which technically puts her in the overall radio TOP 10 if she is not overtaken by other artists. The best thing we all can do now instead of nagging about the needed video release is just be passionate about requesting DO WHAT U WANT on the radio, most notably KISS FM and Z100, as well as on your local radio station. The song needs some f***ing requesting in order to get through the rough time of Christmas radio mess + lack of video support. The deal is that we should do smart requesting by not spamming the radio like we did with the infamous last single off Born This Way and showing DJs we're just a bunch of crazy fans ready to attack the radio station in case they don't play our song Request some other good songs that you like, use different tools (call, text). This is what fans are also about: not only freaking out about the charts but also giving the artist support when she needs it. Nobody but us will do it for Gaga :king: speak up louder!!! but does anyone know the best times to request during the day?
Essence 235
Probably a 1/3 of sales of ARTPOP have come from the discount at Amazon at $3.99 mp3 version. If it were not for that we'd be looking at a number like Xtina's. bs
GypsyGaga 0
I really can't be too enthused with the fact that DWUW would be #17 right now without the normal slew of new songs anymore. The fact that it's selling on par with Dark Horse which has almost zero radio support or promo is incredibly disappointing. I still believe in the song's potential to become a hit, but she's gonna need a huge push at this point along with the video to make the song anywhere near the level of smash we were anticipating almost 2 months ago. And I'm not really sure if Gaga's capable of giving anything a huge push right now. Vevo said something was coming out this week, right? Let's hope it's not just a BTS video of Applause or something. CharlesReyna 0
There's no reason why Gaga's sale I really can't be too enthused with the fact that DWUW would be #17 right now without the normal slew of new songs anymore. Why, because they are maximizing the sales potential for every single, something team Gaga is not doing well at all right now.
bumblebee 2,528
speak up louder!!! but does anyone know the best times to request during the day? In the morning and in the evening I guess, not too late and not too early (how accurate ) This might be the turning point for the song: Do What U Want is now No. 17 on the radio and No. 17 on iTunes, which is kinda equilibrium. It's OK as of now, we can start melting down only if she continues to ascend the radio without the proper digital sales increase. I assume the major digital sales increase is unlikely without a video / promotion (neither is scheduled for any time soon so far), thus we can only now contribute to her radio ascending by smart requesting
Phlop 4,773
Venus should've just been the second single. And DWUW as third around Grammys. Why: - it would have had a radio deal, causing it to already have 60 ai by the end of the week at least, and more by now. - the video was already filmed, and could've been released at will. - it would've had 3 extra weeks to chart over DWUW, having a chance against the winter freeze. - the performances and promotion was already planned. - the song is experimental and easy to recognize as Gaga but not end up like Judas (no yelling or religion) BYE

Even if it was Judas 2.0 who would give a damn? It would still be better than the situation we are currently in.
craig 680
Venus was shown not to connect with itunes buyers when it was performed twice in UK. Radio wanted to keep playing Applause, it was a late bloomer.
Gypsy Life 118,907
Lmao. I love how you guys are acting like you could run Gaga's career better than her professional team.
Whispering 18,865
I think the label pulled the plug on ARTPOP. I don't really see any promotion from them. It's all Gaga performing at various events. I think you will see DWUW video in January and probably Gypsy around the time the NY dates starts. All that's coming from Gaga is about touring and how she loves to perform. This album simply could not sell enough to keep Interscope putting money into it. I think they will probably break even. Gaga herself will do very well with the tour i believe. The label did no such thing. Do you think international promo is free? We don't know what is coming from Gaga and her team between now and the tour. We have a video coming and she has started talking about preparing for the next single after that. The album is selling enough for them to continue to promote it and the singles coming from that album. If a million albums sold worldwide in a month and a single that's sold over 3 million WW, plus the WW numbers from DWUW thus far, is "breaking even", then Interscope is losing money on more than 95% of their artists. Also, Gaga is on a 360 deal. They not only get money from her music sales, they get a potion of her profits from touring and merchandise sales. Supreme 0
Well now that her tour tickets are out, a lot of radio stations have been giving them out and playing a whole lot of Gaga for the fans to win them. That should increase her airplay.
craig 680
Katy, Miley, and Gaga currently have no top 15 singles on itunes. But Kesha, Xtina, and Rihanna do. Who's have thought a few months ago?
ThisGuyTony 30,688
The Voice needs to end soon. Britney falling to #4. I ended up buying the album but haven't been able to hear the whole thing...
craig 680
Kylie's last album Aphrodite charted higher in US (#19) than Britney Jean did in UK (#34). Who'd have thought?
