I hope that you mean in chart performance and not as a song because if you mean that BL and Roar or even JGMAR are better songs than Applause you better run! :manicure:

This.

Pretty much. Roar is just too big for Unconditionally to move past it. Unless they'll wait until January to still push Unconditionally for a top ten peak. Similar to its earlier predictions, KP is indeed having her YDO moment with this one.

She performed Roar. The performance pushed it to #11 on iTunes.

oh . smart I guess at least Roar is becoming her biggest hit (like when Gaga performed Poker Face and Adele performed RITD at the Grammys year after the songs slayed)

When Just Dance became successful It was FRESH and Innovative and even risky, just because now It sounds generic doesn't mean It was generic back in 2009 ....

And the Irony :lmao:  From all Gaga songs in all 3 albums  Applause is the most Inspired by Just Dance :lmao:

First of all I called BL a piece of **** from the first time I've heard it, before it even smashes.

Also generic is something that is similar to the other songs of the same time. JGMAR is like every other ballads that you heard on radio that time and Adele pulled a year before, eventhough it can't hold a candle to Adele's ballads. I told you that I recall about Royals because it's my personal opinion , the song is at least a quality song and it has it's own character. And no I don't trust the GP for music or anything else, I don't trust the masses but my personal instict and opinion. If the GP also would have an opinion and not follow the trends and what other do then we would't have that ****ty music smashing but then again this is the definition of the masses. As for The Grammy's they are not irrelevant but they remain critics and it's also very well-known that they are very conservative and they have been accussed from many huge artists that they have favored success ever quality many times before even if the Grammy's are meant to be quality and not success awards

Edit: Just Dance is generic objectively. Gaga's unique image at the time is what made the song feel so different and smash. The truth is that Gaga was a lot more about image in the beginning of her career.

You clearly don't know what you are talkin about, but I don't want to offend you so I will just say that I disagree with you ...

And not you saying that Gaga's 2 best selling singles and her best selling album were all about Imagery ...  You just sound like typical Gaga hater saying she sells music because of her outfits ..

The fact that you say you are objective but you can't overlook Gaga's success and see the truth. I never told that Gaga's music wasn't innovative and Just dance isn't all The Fame era. Gaga WAS more about image then and she has evolved a lot since then. Gaga brough a different kind of dance music back again then and she gave another weight to performance art, noone could compete with her, she wrote music history. Still TF remains a generic Pop album and still most of  Gaga's The Fame music is a lot behind her other Era's music. It seems that you are the one judging by success and not me...  Pink Floyd's most successful album was their debut The Dark Side Of The Moon and it is weak compared to their masterpice  The Wall or even The Division Bell eventhough the second and third ones have sold a lot less. MJ's thriller was his best selling album and the best selling album of all time but it isn't his best album, in fact I find it to be one of his weakest...
