Klou 2,414
I don't think the grammys "screwed her over". She had one song and was only eligible for a couple categories. If she got no nominations next year, THAT would be the true screw over.Ok let me rephrase... When she's not nominated while eligible.
craig 680
Her best shot next year is best traditional pop album for Cheek to Cheek, or best duet with R Kelly. Provided both go well. ARTPOP wasn't a huge commercial smash or critical darling, so we shouldn't have a sense of entitlement for it.
SpadesToStart 2,809
Ok let me rephrase... When she's not nominated while eligible. I love applause but it didn't even deserve some of the categories it was eligible for. Not best pop vocal performance (it's just not a song that shows off gaga's voice) Not song of the year (some of the lyrics aren't so great) BUT the applause video not getting the music video nom was definitely a snub
Valextra 58
I doubt Gaga would go even if given the opportunity. She's not a pushover for when award shows screw her over. Yes I don't think she's gonna go in my opinion... To see what? That crappy song maybe win? No... They deserve FLOP ratings.

I bet ARTPOP will go on to sell more than Own The Night, too.

Whispering 18,865
She could still perform, honestly the Grammys are short on people to perform it seems. Lorde, TSwift, Katy, Thicke, and Macklemore won't because they did the Noms Concert, which leaves lots of room for Gaga! They need a big name that will bring in viewers. (and I feel like the Grammys think they're above Miley) They had good ratings last year without her. A performing spot was always a long, long shot. I'm not sure why fans were referring to it like it was going to happen. They will have the same people back on, singing different songs or performing some kind of medley. Marco 731
I hope she can at least get asked to perform at the Grammys…
Valextra 58
(and I feel like the Grammys think they're above Miley) It can be, but I'm sure that Miley exposure will be almost over for that time, you already saw at the AMA, her perfromance was 'lame' and she didn't have the same exposure of the VMA because people are just prepared at her 'Sex' Factor. artpoprebellion 325
I'm really happy Do What U Want is slowly rising. It's just such a great song and I know the video will slay

Last year they had Adele performing, which is just as powerful as Gaga ratings wise. And usually if you do the nominations concert, you don't do the grammys themselves. iPop 0
While I totally get applause not being nominated... Roar? Really? I can't help but lolz that roar and brave are nominated in the same category. How will members choose between 2 songs that sound the same ( brave is so much better though ). I know next year there will be a lot of disappointment when ARTPOP doesn't get nominated for much. But I think her album with tony Bennett should get some noms. I know it's suposibly being released in the beginning of January but do we have an absolutely confirmed release date? I mean that's less than a month away and there seems to be such lack of info on the album. I know it's a different type of album with a different target crowd but some promo would be nice. Mills 446
When we're almost sure that Gaga's going to perform at the GRAMMYs to promote her album and benefit the expected sales boost brought by that awards show, her chances to actually perform just got slimmer, or worse shut down with this snub. I thought they'd at least consider one nod to attract ratings from the LM, but I guess having both TS and KP almost sealed with a GRAMMY appearance is already enough for them. I just hope her team would at least do something to secure a spot for a possible "comeback" at the GRAMMY stage. If not, then we really just have to rely for the succeeding singles to sell ARTPOP on its own.
