Her single is in the Top 10 on iTunes and shes almost back in the Top 10 in airplay with DWUW Applause sold less than Judas in UK, it had no performances or commercial supporting it, so didn't have US longevity. No DWUW promo in UK as impactful or SNL or good as AMAs performance. Her DWUW performances have been better with R Kelly. Sales have been steady since midweeks, so commercial has been helping. DWUW has shown that it's not the kind of song that will push album sales in the UK, so the only hope we have left is the Gypsy era being planned properly. Unlike US, albums prices start high there and go down over time, and the public knows it. Ellie Goulding had a floppy start there last fall but just keep going. I agree about DWUW not being an album seller. Right now, one can only hope that it does well, but I wouldn't expect a massive sales increase for ARTPOP if DWUW performs better in the future. It is a very catchy pop album and Die Young did so well, until radio pulled it prematurely after the school shootings... maybe that kind of killed the momentum of the era a bit...
