Jeff Kunst 0
My mind automatically went to the Kendrick Lamar collaboration--especially since that was the most advertised hip-hop collaboration that just disappeared over night. And when Gaga released her version of Don't Kill My Vibe didn't she hint to something along the line she said here? And honestly, the same people who pushed Kendrick's hype may very well have looked down on Kendrick for working with her. It shouldn't be that way, but it is. Ironic though because his verses on the song are about not letting himself be put in any boxes.
alffy74 53
ARTPOP: First song wrote. Worked on the longest of all ARTPOP's songs. Didn't change or edit once it was made, which is unusual for her. It's an inferno over an orgasm that's not meant to explode. It's the center of the record, with an infinite tone. Vision drives culture, not corporations. It hypnotizes instead of driving people. If Gaga and her fans can belong together, maybe ART and POP can. Doogi 1,507
Like TFM! Each song had a fear. Now for ARTPOP! Each song has an adrenaline rush! I'm Chloe. Except the C and the L are silent.

Catalystluna56 2
Yess, I love this. I wish she would talk more about this so more people got the art concept behind ARTPOP.
giskardsb 12,565
I love the MJH explanation. Makes me love the song even more. Anybody that claims Gaga is just another pop star with a writing team needs to listen to this.

TellEm 1
what is she saying on 02:13 "I spent a lot of time ????????" "I spent a lot of time working on that bassline and making it just what I wanted it to be." I could do a transcript if there's enough interest. Also, love hearing her pour her mind out on these songs. Love G.U.Y., Sexxx Dreams, ARTPOP, and Donatella even more now. But even she acknowledges that the adrenaline rush abruptly ends with Dope. Sudarshana 581
03:20. "Started out as a ??? groove" "I spent a lot of time working on that bassline and making it just what I wanted it to be." I could do a transcript if there's enough interest. Also, love hearing her pour her mind out on these songs. Love G.U.Y., Sexxx Dreams, ARTPOP, and Donatella even more now. But even she acknowledges that the adrenaline rush abruptly ends with Dope. thank you I'm doing a transcript right know, so if you like you can correct the mistakes and fill in the ugly holes when I'm done, that would be great :) Nous sommes tous obligés, pour rendre la réalité supportable, d'entretenir en nous quelques petites folies. — Marcel Proust
