No Angel 128
My Rap heart is fluttering. Thank you Jesus for all these Rappers working with another one of my favs. Rick Ross is pretty decent and he doesn't suck unlike a lot of rappers collaborating with Pop acts. All of y'all just want another "Pop Star" who can work with Gaga to bring in an easy #1. Stop. It's fun and I can't wait to hear the remix. Lmao It's gonna be great.. Mills 446
A rapper's inclusion to a song of a pop star and an established R&B artist? This gotta be one of the most diverse collaborations yet. How I wish they chose the likes of Jay Z or even Kanye West instead, but let's see. I'm intrigued on how this would sound with all three of them. Mary Pain 0
OMG, brilliant! I kept thinking that when popstars feature a rapper on their song, it usually leads to another feature or more on a remix or two. I thought how this would be perfect to increase DWUW's chart position, longevity and expand its audience. We've seen the whole "pop star featuring urban artist" working out very well for Mariah Carey (One Sweet Day, Heartbreaker, Thank God I Found You), ***cat Dolls (Don't Cha, Beep, Buttons, Wait A Minute), Nelly Furtado (Promiscuous), Rihanna (Umbrella, What's My Name?), Katy Perry (California Gurls), and many more. And in Katy's case, she used "rent a rapper" to the extreme - 4 out of the 6 singles off the original release of TD featured rappers and Snoop Dogg was the only one that was there to begin with, which made her appear really redundant and like she was just after extra sales. Which was probably true. I don't really like how singers release a song with a featured artist added after the fact even though the album version doesn't have them on it. It feels like they're manipulating the fans to buy the song twice. But I don't mind if Gaga abuses the rent a rapper thing for just one single. If she wants to feature more rappers in more remixes, all to the good. That will mean the song will keep selling and will have "hit" written all over it. Seeing as it's a s-xy song, it would be ideal if she got more rappers who are famous for that subject matter to feature on it. If she got Snoop, it would be perfect. Then she'd have a midwest, southern and west coast rapper on the song! Then she just needs to add Jay-Z as an east coast rapper and this song would appeal to every rap market and be the hit of a lifetime! :haha: Rick Ross is a decent rapper, by the way. He's done work with Nicki and Mariah recently, released a good album last year that had very positive critical reception, sold over 550k in the US and was nominated for Best Rap Album at this year's Grammys. I mean, if the feature was someone like Soulja Boy or even Lil Wayne, I could understand some of the negative reaction from fans, but Rick has pretty solid credibility. I love your posts too I'll wait for the song to better judgament, the original song is perfect regardless of the remix. At the end of the day everyone can choose whether to listen it or not. craig 680
I have to assume this WILL be the version used in the video. It would definitely explain the delay... Either way MV very soon now It takes weeks to edit a video. If she wanted Ross to be the main version we'd have seen him on SNL or AMAs. My fave station didn't even play the Kanye version of ET, so i'm safe.
