Ellie Goulding 8 Posted February 22, 2012 Share Posted February 22, 2012 Her dress reminded me of the gold McQueen dress Gaga wore, at least for the top. The performance was spectacular. Her vocals was spectacular as usual, I was so happy that the note she hit was right on the spot. She looked like a high priestess up in heaven from the ancient times in Rome and she was descending down to earth. The pillars of light around her. Not to mention the back vocals towards the end. It's like add just a little theatrics of Gaga and the vocals of Adele (and maybe better) and there you have it, this performance. I thought the dress WAS the McQueen one, I had to look it up Florence has a lot more power than Adele. I would say Adele has more technique in how to use her voice, but isn't that why she had to have surgery? So I would rate Florence above Adele.. But she did wear a McQueen dress shortly after, I think. Flo > Adele. :haha: YES! New tour dates and she's coming to my city just after my birthday!! SO EXCITED! Happy for you bb. It gets quite boring to watch her do the exact same as the studio version every single time, as long as it doesn't sound abhorrent then I don't see the problem. Like when she sings Spectrum and extends the WE AREEEE. She sometimes sings the end of DDAO differently when she does it live too.
