It is destined to be an iconic, classic record because Gaga took risks and didn't give a **** who was put off by it. And yes, some fans jumped ship because of this, but in the end, I believe it will last for these reasons. As an album, I prefer ARTPOP. It doesn't take as many risks, but it best represents the reasons why I fell in love with Gaga in the first place: genre-mashing, outstanding vocals, diverse influences, instantly catchy songwriting, and next-level production work. In other words, it's music that we just couldn't hear from anyone else. And what's more, none of it is bogged down in a *Message* or in serious, austere soundscapes. It is just fun, but entertainment that comes from an authentic, artistic place. no born this way is better and the commercia and critical acclaim agree with me. For the record, this is really not a good argument. It leaves zero room for discussion. And it implies that, if you have ever disagreed with the critics and the GP, then you are automatically deemed Wrong. Which is obviously not the case. ItsOnlyAshleigh 2 Posted March 11, 2014 Share Posted March 11, 2014 I like ARTPOP better than BTW too. I LOVE BTW don't get me wrong, but the flow of ARTPOP is so much better I think. Where as BTW is just feels like a jumble of songs, and ARTPOP is more organized and put together. I feel like all of the songs on ARTPOP just flow into each other so nicely. I do like the darker sound of BTW though more than the sound of ARTPOP. I mean ARTPOP kind of has a dark sound but its different. I feel like kicking ass when I listen to BTW if that makes sense.
