She is a touring power and at least where the population is huge (NYC,LA) she must gain as much money as possible. But critics are everywhere and even if she grosses 100m they will tell: ''LADY GAGA'S GROSS 60% DECREASE'' 120 mil is still more than Taylor, Pink, Bey, Rihanna and Katy would do so she won't get **** for it. 1D will be the #1 tour of 2014, 100% certain anyways so no point competing for that spot either. She should just go for a 3 mil audience and 200 mil gross or so. More audience -> more merchandise sold, better-looking receipts, better promotion (tours originally were to promote albums, right? Gaga re-enters the Top 100 albums with most countries she goes to, so more people visiting the tour might make that Top 50 for example), faster sell-outs -> good press (I remember seeing 'Gaga sells out Twickenham Stadium in 60 seconds' everywhere), and hopefully a happier Gaga.
