Her smart label doesn't allow her 'artistic integrity' to get in the way of her career. Katy is business. Katy is smart. Katy is a puppet. Her artistic integrity comes down to Bonnie McKee, using her pretty girl looks, Max Martin and Dr. Luke. Her choices as an "artist" are getting safer and more narrow as time goes on. That's something that bores the **** out of me. There will always be little girls that buy those Taylor Swift and Katy Perry CDs. It's like when they were a few years younger and they kept watching the same Disney movies over and over. It's the same reason 1D has a third album that's going to open up with 500K for the third year in a row. It's the same reason Bieber has a song go to #1 every single week. Immature minds like to be served the same exact thing over and over. Anything outside of that scares them. That's why artists like this work so well with this age group. It will have grear promo : - AMAs - Thanksgiving special - Ellen If she fails to sell at least 70k it doubt it will get to platinum or even 750k in the end! Cant really count Ellen since shes not performing, and Special wont have that many viewers. Itll help but I think the real potential for a boost comes Sunday. She needs to kick her ass. I hope this weekend all she is doing is rehearsing and making sure this performance is memorable and one of the best of the past few years for her. First comments: -553k... it ain't even a half of Born This Way's US first week sales -75% decline from BTW, right? -It literally being only 25% of 'Born This Way''s sales -Never in my life have I experienced such dramatic decline within a quite short time period. -Are we forgetting 'ARTPOP' was on sale for $5.99 on MULTIPLE retailer sites? I think it'd be considerably less than 611k if it had only counted the full-priced copies. :wtf: ATRL is nothing but a bunch of butthurt bitter drama queens. 99% of the comments over there are just ignorant, but for the record, Eminem's album was $5.99 on multiple retailer sites opening week AND his second week. If Gaga's "discounted" sales aren't going to "count", than neither should Eminem's or anyone else's over the past few years.
