Americano 31,061 Posted December 26, 2011 Author Share Posted December 26, 2011 I'm afraid 100K sales WW in what is a big sales week for albums does not seem that great to me - for example compare last week's sales of 69,180 of Bruno Mars Doo Wops & Hooligans and that's only in the UK, not WW, and that's been out a year. And compare it to what she was selling before, they are good. I never made any mention of other acts in the OP. But these are shipments... This fanbase seems to be excessively obsessed with the possibility of Gaga flopping. Can't anyone see that despite of any underperforming single, Lady Gaga is still a huge superstar? It's not like she's going to disappear. I'm sick of LM's talking like she'll flop because she's not a #1 hit maker. She's ****ing iconic, b---hes. Like no one in her generation ever was. And most iconic artists do not need #1's. Gaga will be remembered for a long, long time. Her music+art is way too more important than this silly fight to make singles stay on top. Even with a lot of unradio-friendly sounds in BTW, people are still interested in her, buying her album, talking about her. Imagine when she decides to come back with an extremely commercial sound?
