Jeff Kunst 0
Like I'm glad Lungs, Contra and xx made it to the list but they're not pop Why does everyone calls everything pop nowadays They're not aimed at a pop (mainstream, radio, charts, etc.) audience, but those albums owe a lot to pop music structures and tropes. Any music that uses the verse chorus verse structure can be considered pop music by a broad definition of the term. Whereas a group like, say, Autechre is working almost completely outside of that tradition.

Well now I see why they call everything pop, but I think they should consider other facts besides that, just because they met one feature of pop music doesn't mean that instantly is pop. For me that's like saying Bananas and Pineapples are the same because they both have yellow colour :P But what do I know about music anyway

Complex isn't aimed at the same pop music audience as, say, ATRL.

Jeff Kunst 0
It's exciting because the distinctions between pop music and other genres are collapsing rapidly. Eventually we'll have a whole generation of new musicians who might be equally drawing from diverse influences as, say, both Gaga and 90's IDM- like Grimes, for example.
