VIDEO: Do What U Want & Venus performances on Graham Norton

I've been supporting every step Gaga made this Era but her performances have been awful if you compare it with her old material. It's a fact. Her vocals are messy and sometimes even off key, she's barely dancing and when she does it's like current-Britney's level. She's just not delivering, it's time to go back to a dance studio and actually rehearse the performance.

I get where you are coming from but the way I see it is...Back in the BTW and the other Eras she took herself very seriously and was very much about perfection and this era isn't about that. You also have to look at her second...today online she filmed 10 interviews plus probably hasnt rehearsed for ArtRave yet. I'm giving her leeway for televised performances that won't do anything but help certain songs chart but I know for a fact she wont be performing like this on tour.

I haven't seen the DWUW performance, but so far I'm just really not a fan of her Venus performances.

Listen to Venus with headphones on and in your right ear you should hear an acoustic guitar playing the ''Goddess of love'' parts, that's why she plays it.

I know the guitar is in the song, but there's no reason why a band member can't play it. Both times she's used it for performance now seem clunky and awkward. I'm sure there's a better way to incorporate it into her performances, but until that happens, she should just forget about it.

 

And in regards to the DWUW performance/dancing, wasn't this recorded just a few days after it was decided DWUW would be a single? We can't know for certain that her performance of this was planned, it might have been originally been planned to be Applause and Venus. It's likely that she just didn't have time for choreography to be created for the song yet, which is why both this and the X Factor performance had no backup dancers or choreography.

I can't at the people saying these were bad performances. I honestly think they expect her to pull off the 2009 VMAs on every fvcking TV show.

 

Understand her when she says "more and more of less and less." There is a reason why we're not getting elaborate set designs like performing inside a tank full of goo. And I think it's having a wonderful outcome because it's putting the focus on her as a singer, rather than a gimmick performer.
