The good news is that people are willing to consider listening to her again (applause has been a slow and steady success) but only in small doses which is prolly why the album sales are low. Will she have a constant # 1 career and slay the charts every era ... Prolly not but that doesn't mean she's a flop. I think she's going to have a few singles have good success from here on out and moderate album sales. She may not be on top of the charts forever but she definitely can stay relevant and become a legend, she pretty much is one at this point. I think honestly she will have a career like David Bowie. A mixed career with some huge smashes, smaller successes and some that the public just doesn't get . But ultimately she will have her own place in music history as being an innovater and different from her peers. I think people should stop seeing all over BTW damage. This has only to do with ARTPOP, the way she choose to promote ( which was kinda mediocre), the songs she wanted people to hear until now and thats all. Applause did go, but its succes isnt enough to sell ARTPOP. DWUW isnt also a song that will sell too much the album on its own, because its a little bit different as a genre.
