MANiCURE1295 8,673
11 Miley Cyrus - Wrecking Ball For someone that gets so much buzz, is she REALLY that much of a force? I'm not being shady, but WCS was hardly a blockbuster.. and while this song was big, it didnt last that long either. Applause and WB are right next to eachother on iTunes practically and Gagas follow up is way ahead of anything Miley might put out That's what I've been thinking. Was WB REALLY? That big. Like yeah the song was a big song but not on the level of Katy Perry big and such. Miley Cyrus isn't that big of a force yet. At least imo
Americano 31,061
Gaga still has that WW advantage on all of her peers, with maybe the exception of Rihanna but shes riding on Eminem. Her own singles have been a mess. (Looking at PRISM's WW iTunes standings... )

Americano 31,061
Sure, and a lot of amazing songs arent the years best sellers, but at least when Gaga was the buzz girl she had the numbers to back up the hype. Miley clearly does not. Gaga NOT being the buzz girl (just due to the fact shes aging in the industry) and still arguably pulling bigger chart numbers than the former kinda shows the media bias

Her own singles have been a mess. (Looking at PRISM's WW iTunes standings... ) Rihanna gets away with having two hits each era. Her digital sales are nothing amazing either and her album sales are not nearly as much as they should be for an artist of her caliber. Shame. Americano 31,061
I mean, at the end of the day this is all relative. Miley/Gaga/Katy are still all over the radio and getting headlines, so what do they care about the technicalities. Just when I saw miley out of the top 10 in all UK/US/Japan, It made me wonder where the buzz was coming from

Look at the ARTPOP reviews.....that **** is bias. I am 100% confident critics want to tear her down.

Like yeah the song was a big song but not on the level of Katy Perry big and such. Miley Cyrus isn't that big of a force yet. At least imo Miley doesn't the voice, creativity, or writing/producing skills to become a huge force. She's resorting to cheap acts for the sake of buzz. The media is pushing her, but it just aint gonna happen
Americano 31,061
ARTPOP was a critic target from birth though. Fun, s-xy pop music and older males reviewing.. Eek For a more pure pop record vs BTW, its metacritic score isnt that bad

nick4bty 2,758
Gaga having a huge radio hit with Applause and a HUGE HUGE radio hit with DWUW (it's inevitable) will be great for this era. I'm so over first week sales at this point. Longevity and successful singles is exactly what made TF era so successful, and history seems to be repeating. If Gaga had released The Fame right now, no way would it have gotten over 70. Just more bias to add to the pot
