Bamboo 8
Katy should've just released Dark Horse as single 2. Now Unconditionally is flopping & Dark Horse is a wasted single

craig 680
Katy should've just released Dark Horse as single 2. Luc 4,775
Katy should've just released Dark Horse as single 2. Now Unconditionally is flopping & Dark Horse is a wasted single It's a smart decision by Capitol in my opinion to not release Dark Horse, that song won't sell albums. A song like Roar does that better and Unconditionally should be great at that (eventhough Unconditionally is quite a boring ballad about something too relatable ). All speaking from personal experience . But really, Unconditionally is a better single choice. You all just overestimated Katy's power after Roar, a hyped lead single after the immensely popular Wide Awake, The One That Got Away and Firework that had a big radio deal, promo everywhere on the Internet and huge hype because she'd compete with Gaga. pie-kun 1,765
The country songs are starting to slow down, seeing lots of light greens, whites and reds for them now.
Pure Adrenaline 1,518
2 at least Applause went top five and silver a lead single from the biggest pop star in the world Dark Horse is a legend tbh, my favorite Katy Perry song. this such a wasted single would have been plat by now if it was released instead of that horrid ballad It's much more fun to have hizophrenia... u never get lonely
Griffin 6
Guys, is it harder for singles to get off the ground now that single EP's aren't a thing? I mean the only #1 songs this year have all been prior to the act's album release (with debut acts being the exception). DWUW and Unconditionally seem testament to the fact that it's challenging. pie-kun 1,765
At the very least Katy's team can be assured they have another hit in Dark Horse in the event that Unconditionally flops.
Griffin 6
Oh and if anyone's interested: 30 - 25 (Unconditionally on the Hot 100) 13 - 58 (DWUW on the Hot 100) Both are struggling.

I think it's just an overall decline in the music industry if anything.
kissmy7 106
By the time AMA's happen, Unconditonally will have 100m Al and together with the performance and the video streaming points released that week, she will explode straight into the top 2 .. (unless she pulls a Justin and flops)....The same could happen with Applause...if she performs it on SNL, together with the big Al it has it could go top 5 again. Bt1 5,213
Oh and if anyone's interested: 30 - 25 (Unconditionally on the Hot 100) 13 - 58 (DWUW on the Hot 100) Both are struggling. They are not struggling, especially Gaga. People seems to forget that normal singles begin in the lower part of the charts and after weeks and, more recently, months go where Gaga was last week with DWUW and Katy is with Unconditionaly. I think both songs will become big hits. They need time and promotion.

DWUW barely has any radio play though, it's not really "struggling" so much as it hasn't started yet. Unconditionally, on the other hand, is already top 20 on overall radio (which is where her increase came from). I don't know. As high as she is on radio right now, I would think that it would be doing better if that were going to happen. People are being exposed to the song, they're just not buying it. I think it'll end up going top 10 for sure, but I just see it ending up as one of her lower performing singles.
Bt1 5,213
I dont think Applause will be top 10 next week, if the effect from Glee wont make it go top 10. I just noticed that Passenger song in all this craziness that its Itunes at the moment it is 7.
