Esp now that the era is over, I dont wanna kick a dead horse, but times of BIG turmoil were: A) Born This Way single release (It caused a lot of fights over people wanting her old dance music back) B) Judas single release (Controversy/struggling single) C) Edge of Glory video (Massive meltdowns) D) You & I single choice WW + You & I VMA performance (Massive meltdowns again) E) Marry the Night flopping + MTN video (both seen as big disappointments) F) Meltdowns over Gaga vanishing quickly after. I'm not saying a single was a good or a bad choice, and im not saying the videos were all bad. But at ALL of those points, which is almost the entire era if you can tell, there were fights/drama/anger/etc. on GGD and across her fanbase in general. It was not pretty And I genuinely remember many members I had talked to personally often vanishing from GGD over the course of the year. exactly, everyone acts like she did something particular and It lead to a decline ... A lot of things that she did are the reason of everything now ... A lot of performances, a lot of weird outfits, some videos, some songs, some lyrics, BTW's album cover, the big break ... Even her thanking the Gays at every award show ... Madonna talkin about Gaga also ... I mean, I've been a fan since Paparazzi so I know what happened during BTW era, it's just that things work differently in my fan base 'environment'. Most of italian little monsters are completely chart ignorant and the meltdowns when something goes wrong aren't so big. MTN video was loved and pretty much everyone loved BTW and Judas. I think the biggest damage was made during Oct 2012- August 2013 Almost 1 year without ANY appereance anywhere!!!!! I mean even I had kinda forgotten abou ther as the only sign she was alive was some posts she liked on LM.com True. And when you did hear about her, it was negative. Luckily not as bad as JB, but bad. A hip surgery, wheelchair, empty seats in stadiums, wearing fur, smoking weed on stage, promoting weed on her social network, getting fat, 'farting problems' . They were more thirsty for news articles about Gaga half a year ago than right now. All the bad press has negatively influenced the way the GP looks at her. Even me for a while. Yes she was the biggest star and she was given the opportunity to do whatever she wanted to. But she chose to drastically change. Which shouldn't have happened so soon. It was literally like culture shock, she was completely different. And she still kind of is. A few other members from earlier on (colours + Alien Tulip) have talked about this too in chat. All her albums are Platinum. Yes she doesn't have great first week sales but she never had. She is STABLE, Gaga's falling. That's why people are melting down, Because she was HUGE and these numbers are honestly embarrassing for someone who had her success at one point.
