Pure Adrenaline 1,518 Posted November 10, 2013 Share Posted November 10, 2013 katy's promo IS perfect. shes been in japan, UK, france, australia, has wildly successful promo singles, had an entire day of radio dedicated to her on album release week, and more sure we can mock her opening all we want, but she has the buzz and the hype that gaga does NOT and is doing fine on her own standards. i cant wait for Eminem to block Gaga in a bunch of countries just to prove you wrong, because you've been trying to act like this promo is perfect internationally from the start yet she's having hard time to sell that album ... when Gaga got that kind of promo she pulled 1M+ first week and ranked her album as the 2nd biggest opener by a female artist in the last decade promo is indeed importan but even with the biggest promo in the world if ur music isn't saying much to people u'll find urself bankrupt Don't know about u guys but her *ALBUM promo this era is perfect imo, in 2011 even I got tired of watching her going to 1231 interviews per day and now everything seems so much calm and organised and most impartantly let the music speak first not ur ad if people find the album interesting it will last long enough ... giving ur prime example BTW debuted with 1.1M sales and 21 with 351k It's much more fun to have hizophrenia... u never get lonely Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Is no one going to the shops to buy ARTPOP at all. Gaga had a huge boost from Amazon thanks to the foil cover. While the average album might have 8% from Amazon, ARTPOP might have 16% from Amazon first-week. This will probably be because a lot of Gaga fans have an Amazon account ayways (after the deal ), and also because Amazon was the only confirmed spot where you could buy ARTPOP Foil cover. I doubt predictions take into account all this new-fangled stuff It might be more like - Katy is a pop girl with good promo and single success, she did badly, therefore there is no way Gaga can do much better.
