That's probably why it sounds very Born This Way. Same with Venus, except that was a very recent track

I would have liked a couple more 'Aura' sounding songs on ARTPOP. Gives me that Rave vibe with a killer chorus.

I think Aura best encapsulates ARTPOP in that it's the song that BEST pulls off the combination of experimental songwriting and being a pop song at the same time. My biggest critique of ARTPOP is that it often sacrifices quality for experimentalism. I find a lot of the songs very different and interesting, but not nearly as enjoyable to listen to as most of her other songs. But I'm sure many disagree with me. Still, Aura is very very different and a great pop song at the same time.

But I also find Aura to be the least like the other songs, because it's so futuristic and most of the other songs are heavily influenced by past musical influences/genres. Aura was what I imagined when she first announced the title and concept. Kinda wished the rest of the album was more like it! Ah, the life of a stan.

I think he means the first song that actually made the album, I think she wrote many other songs for ARTPOP back in mid - late 2011 that didn't make the cut. I believe Aura (or Burqa as it was then known) was written in the early stages of TBWB in spring 2012.

Well so it's coming from the flawless Born This Way era no wonder it's one of the best on ARTPOP.
