heirgaston 0 Posted January 4, 2014 Share Posted January 4, 2014 I'm here for Gaga expressing her artistry. Whether that means safe pop hits (Poker Face, Edge of Glory, Gypsy) or otherwise. I personally love ARTPOP, and yes, I will admit I am a bit bothered that it isn't currently smashing like the way I thought it would. I'm not sure if it's because of the season it was released, GP backlash, mediocre promo, or what. As being a fan of Gaga, I would love to see her getting that immense acclaim, sales, awards, reviews, ect. because I honestly think she deserves it. However, it's not what is most important. So even though it does pain me that ARTPOP isn't at 3M in sales right now, I'm alright with it because I know it is the record that Gaga wanted to put out. They're not properly supporting Gaga and are just making a mess of this era and this ****ing DWUW video...If only Gaga had enough money to pull a Jay Z and make her own record label... **** YOU INTERSCOPE I DONT LIKE YOU i hope Lana ditches you too... I appreciate everyone's frustrations with inter scope! but legally/contractually she's tied in for at least 2 more albums. I can honestly see her leaving interscope once her contract is up. Never before, until recently has she ever had anything negative to say about record labels and corporations and the control they have over artist. Iv no doubt one day she could start her own label, but she's still only 5 years into her career. Give it 5 more and I think she will be ready and in e position to start one! I do agree that it's a bit extreme to suggest it, but as I said before, it started as a joke that I went with to twist some panties. The reason I disagree is because if it's seen as taboo, people will be less inclined to talk to someone about what they're going through. People are afraid to admit things like that because of stigma, and sensitivity. It's my belief that there's no shame in suffering and being open about it. My suggestion of it wasn't intended to be disrespectful and I'm sorry if I offended you for it. I understand that you didn't mean any harm, and you do have a point. I agree that there's no shame in suffering, and I hope I didn't come across differently. I just can't help but feel awkward making/seeing such particular assumptions about someone's personal life when we know very little. Its obvious we're both coming from good places so I think it's fair to agree that we both just want her to be okay whether or not she's showing signs of depressed behaviour. I think this thread is pretty telling that there is something wrong because everyone's noticing. Maybe instead of people brushing it off and saying leave her alone we should be giving her messages of support and love. Let's not be in denial that ARTPOP has been a commercial and critical failure, even if monsters liked it. If she was depressed before she is going to be more depressed now. Maybe she just wanted to take a break because she needed it, for Christ's sake. She paints a dark painting and that means she's contemplating suicide?...... I've had my worries about her and potential warning signs that have scared me for years, but all I'm saying is, please can we try not to antagonize or blow things out of proportion when we don't know anything for sure. I think it much more personal and professional than her just being angry with fans on Twitter. She is very close to her fans but that doesn't mean we consume her whole time. She has a life that doesn't just focus on her fans. I can only make assumptions like we all can, but to think she is only pouting about her fans online and that she doesn't probably have bigger problem,as I said before don't give yourself that much credit. Fans are largely divided this time around and it seems there is a lot of troubles behind the scenes professionally. Her label isn't supporting her and neither are some of her fans. So yeah I think she's in a dark place but she needs to start listening and not just her ego and "yes" people around her. Time to pull yourself out of the depths of despair GaGa and get it together! Bitch is strong she can survive this and come out of it on top I know she can. And the fans have to start being more positive and supportive.
