Explain please.

You're implying that the only way to grow is by doing what other people say.

I put it in another topic but I will copy it into here:

I read the growing part like:
She has evolved, matured, call it whatever you want but she moved on. Don't critise her with reference point of what she has done because that kinda norrows her down like she's not allowed to step out of the box.

I mean if you look at the critics reviews and fans most of it is: ARTPOP sales is flopping (BTW did huge sales), I miss Famega, I wish she did more of this or that again.
People are constantly reaching backwards instead of looking at it in the present and make up their mind if they like what to see RIGHT NOW.

but art is subjective so how can anyone really tell her what she's doing wrong, it's different for everyone

Critics can tell if the song/album is good or not. +Music is a form of art. All music is artistic, equally.

That is NOT enough to suggest that she is using d--gs again. Lots of people successfully overcome addiction, and while relapse rates are high, Gaga surely has handlers who would throw her in rehab at the slightest hint she's using again. It's pretty horrible speculation you're throwing around, and exactly the kind of negativity that drives tabloid journalism, and puts so much pressure on people like Gaga, who are constantly in the public eye.

She is purging herself of those people around her who say no. Plus she has had a bad six months with the album. If she was ever going to relapse it would be now. Some people on here are just in denial.

Maybe when she says criticism, she means the destructive, unhelpful kind only and we just like to assume she means all criticism?

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

:applause: I totally agree with you  :kisses:

She cannot simply dismiss a remark if it isn't a praise.

P.S. I finally know stan is derived from stance

If some people are in denial, some other people are constantly, passionately posting and presenting untruths and rumours as fact, which is equally as dangerous. She's had a difficult time, yes, but seriously, there's almost no evidence to "prove" she's using serious d--gs again. I maintain that she still occasionally dabbles in c-----e and MDMA, despite what she says in interviews, but I don't believe it's at addiction level.

I mean everyone will have an opinion on just about every single thing and it's not healthy to listen to all that criticism, constructive or not. Sometimes, and for some artists, all the time, you just have to shut out any opinions and be your own critic. In general, you are your best critic. And I am in agreement with the art is subjective theory because opinions are subjective as well, meaning none of them are right or wrong, and you can choose to not accept them at all. Everyone has their own way of looking at and using criticism, too.

Also, you said "How are you supposed to know how to get better without knowing what you're doing wrong?"

1) What and who dictates what you're doing "wrong?"

2) Should you listen to people when they're telling you what you're doing "wrong?"

3) If your answer is "sales dictates if you're doing something right (artistically)" then would you also agree therefore that the only way to grow is by always doing what's "in" or "popular?"

Maybe when she says criticism, she means the destructive, unhelpful kind only and we just like to assume she means all criticism?

She should really specify then, because there are at least two types and making it seem like she doesn't want to hear the constructive stuff makes her seem really... idk.

Apparently the one who hates it.

I love ARTPOP and I think it deserved a much better score than the critics gave it.

Considering we hardly have seen her in public or in interviews lately I don't think we can accurately state her mental condition. It's better to be safe than sorry though. The picture she posted of her painting was not someone expressing happy feelings. She is in a dark place and in need of help.
