Without any reasons, the figure is no better than any one else's random number. Predictors for first week album sales are (i) the figure previous album(s) by the artist sold, and (ii) how many pre-orders it has already. Based on that evidence versus the figures of comparable artists I would hope the figure of 375K is far too low. The logic seems to be Gaga is a female and she sings pop, so she can't do much better than other pop females right? Especially when those other girls have more successful singles. They should put more stock in the fact that artists who big album sales usually repeat, her strong fanbase (that goes beyond kids who don't buy albums or only listen to pop), and her rep for making strong filler free albums.. Remember TF never reached # 1, but its sales were steady and impressive. I would just like her to pull a bid debut to piss the haters honestly.
