A 375k prediction is good - not only is it the biggest of all the pop stars released/releasing this year, but it is also sets us up for happiness and excitement if it does more than that. They predicted Teenage Dream to sale 800K but in reality it didn't even sold 180K. So only thing we will do is wait .. That was wayyyyyy before it was released though. During TD's release week they were predicting 300k, then they came down to 200k, and it sold 190k. But that was different because California Gurls was HUGE, Katy had tons of buzz, and they couldn't use OOTB as a template for predicting. The original predictions were really just a shot in the dark. Considering the longevity of Applause, Gaga is no longer a front-loaded seller. Just because it doesn't do a huge first week doesn't mean it's going to flop altogether.
