Seems like every reviewer is listing Dope and Gypsy as their favorite tracks, and Fashion and Donatella as their least favorites. Why does this not surprise me.

I wish gypsy would be the next single!

Typical middle aged reviewer types with a thing for rock or ballads over dance pop.

Dope and gypsy are also just better written than like Donatella, which at times is cringe worthy lol.

At least dope and DWUW have both been officially released already and they're critical highlights. She showed off good songs for promo singles

Are you sure they changed?

In 2011, they had a list of publications that they considered worthy to count. Some scores were slow coming in, and I emailed links which they acceptedadded with appreciation.

I emailed them, and this is what they said:

"Hello Nick, and great question! The reviews that are added to our database are ones written by publications who receive a copy of the album from the record label. Normally record labels send out albums for, review a week in advance. We have a list of all publications that record labels send to and commonly refer to that.

All reviews carry the same weight. And no, we do not count reviews from examiner.com.

We appreciate your interest!

And sadly, most of the reviews are written by middle aged white men.

I've read three reviews that call Donatella a "parody." And it really does come off that way. Lyrically, probably the worst on the album. Still my least favorite - I love the beat, and the chorus, but it seems like her intentions don't come through, or her image for the song is just incomplete.

Dope and Gypsy just seem a step higher, lyrically, than everything else on the album. Perhaps even musically. Easily my favorite part of the album.

The fact that MJH, Dope, and Gypsy come one after the other So much slayage there :legend:

MJH, it'll never be a single but it's magical...

DWUW light green... Hopefully she does something in the US this weekend...

Is it even legal for an indie site to review any pop album with 0? i'm done

It's not a huge deal, because Metacritic uses more of a median average that doesn't give weird outliers that much weight.

Dope is the only song on this album I do NOT like! Fashion + Donatella are just ok, but the rest of the album is SLAYAGE (even VENUS) which has grown on me now... ;)
