There's way better choices for future singles than Venus.

agreed, same could be said for dwuw. though I do think Venus would have followed applause well because they are both over the top.

As Magoo already said, Dope has already sold more than Venus outside of pre-orders and it's not even radio friendly lol

MonsterOfSpain

hey, whats no 34 on kworb?? another britney song?

It's Work Bitch but it's got all the writers credited on the title, mess.

I'm #TeamVenus for 4th or 5th single, it could do as good as E.T. if she promotes it/makes a feature.

Dope received performance few hours before it's release ... even if that didn't brought that much attention it was still more than the Venus promo in the US

The Believers are so pissed off.  :teehee:

I bet they blocked DWUW video

there used to looking at Bieber's flat body and when they see something different react obnoxious ... Gaga's bam is too much to handle for them  :whitney:  :ARTPOP:

I think Venus is dead in terms of single possibility.

Well the song feels great on the album, it suits the themes and concepts, but it's not what she needs on the radio.

I think the album is very strong, I love it more than any of her previous records   The music is really good, and this is the most important thing!  :rockstar:

Secondly, the songs are perfect for the tour. The ARTPOP tour promises to be the biggest party organized on the planet, with the EDM influenced she's had on the record it really will make the dancefloor go crazy :music:

But regarding the radio, the single choice is not very wide. GYPSY seems to be unmistakable as of now, I think it will do great on the TOP 40/HAC formats. It's the least risky single choice for Gaga.Simple and beautiful production, interesting composition and that TONIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT part is great.

SEXXX DREAMS and MANiCURE have both chances to see the light of being released as singles, and both can be aiming to cross the formats a little bit. But SEXXX DREAMS might be a little to explicit, but it features one of her best vocals: they seem to be so pure and harmonizing. And it may also be supported by rhythmic formats. MANiCURE is also very strong vocally and very cohesive in the production, but it may feel like a little too rough/rocky for TOP 40, and too pop for alternative formats.

G.U.Y. is also a potential single, although it's once again pretty explicit and will probably be supported only by the home format (TOP 40)

It's always so hard choosing singles for Gaga :Chica:
