The Unconditionally cover is so smart tbh. The snow in the background puts you in the mood for christmas without you noticing it, and that's exactly when it's supposed to be peaking and that'll also maximize christmas sales for PRISM. Her marketing team is so good :rip:

Katy, her psychological approach

The next two singles should be total no-brainers for Interscope. Follow up R&B sort-of s-x jam with a more family-friendly song of cathartic uplift--nab your next TEOG with Gypsy. Then, after what should be two pretty big hits, release GUY, which has a chorus custom made for radio, even if the synths in general hit a bit harder than programmers typically like. If you've won them over with three hits in a row, that's when you can push a little. If GUY lands, then go ahead with a fifth single. In the fifth slot, Sexxx Dreams, Dope, and MANiCURE could all be tried, and all have different appeals/drawbacks.

But I really think Gypsy/GUY as the next two should basically be a done deal at this point.

Donatella would flop, it's too gay.

*Not every single has to be a big success, that's why I put or Mary Jane Holland and I also listed it as the last one.

I wouldn't mind if Donatella didn't become a single but was instead sent to Clubs (if that's possible?)

I think Gypsy for 3rd single and GUY for fourth single is quite obvious. DOPE isn't single-worthy, it's this era's Speechless tbh. Performed multiple times but not to push single sales but rather push album sales. And it worked great.

Fifth single isn't necessary, she shouldn't destroy the momentum of this and the next era with a flop single at the end of the era, because that'd make the first single of ARTPOP - P. 2 (is it coming? everybody says so but I thought Gaga said in an interview it wouldn't happen) have slow airplay which could kill it (see Justin Timberlake's new single messes).

But if it's a fifth single and there's no Volume 2, go for ARTPOP, Mary Jane Holland or Venus. Best would be ARTPOP, a very weird yet radio friendly song that'll be accepted by Pop, HAC, AC and Rhythmic radio. It has that weird and hypnotic vibe and I think that it could really push the album sales since it's also the title track. The only thing that goes in its way is the pretentious lyrics but there is no song with actual safe lyrics on ARTPOP besides maybe Gypsy.

MANiCURE has Adele's stamp of approval so we can expect it to become as big as Rolling in the Deep.

:derpga:

The beginning of MANiCURE reminds me of Sunday Night Football song that Carrie Underwood now sings. That can either be a good thing or a bad thing.

MANiCURE1295

My brother just told me that ARTPOP is the best pop album he's heard the past 5 years! And he hasn't listened to half the album yet. His poor rap stanning heart is about to be slayed.
