It should be at like #400 on iTunes...It's a cumulative total with the AI mainly increasing because of last week's lower spins. You'd think with a sudden increase in adds it would start increasing in sales. not really .. it only increased 100+ spins from last week .. i think songs need time to grow on people. many people buy a song after hearing it multiple times on radio. it doesn't mean that when AI goes up the position on itunes also goes up .. see unconditionally? it has 50m and is only top 20 only. the compettion currently is too strong. Adds don't change much day to day as much as you guys think. Only really one day a week... AI is a rolling total, so you won't see this week's true AI until early next week. The point is, simply 100 + spins each day won't make much difference. with 100+ stations, 100+ spins can mean that each station played the song one time more than last week same day. and i doubt that 1 spin makes that much of difference.. My point is the song already stabilized before this weeks new spins were added to radio stations. Wouldn't you think the song would start rising on iTunes when additional few million people are hearing the song? the same can be said for many songs. for example, unconditionally gets even more adds this week. not to mention it also get more spins increase. but the song rarely move on itunes yet. itunes is a rolling chart as well. the effect is not reflected immediately. Adds =/= new sales getting more exposure might get more audience but not everyone gonna buy it until the song grows on them anyway, if DWUW continues to gain like this, the effect would be more visible when it has more than 50-60m AI Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
