Will the song be sent to US radio on the 29th of October?

Do What U Want is the song I'm talking about obviously :P

DWUW will slay either way.. Now, Why is she performing at Graham Norton's show if DWUW is not even charting in UK.

By the way, during Gypsy, when she sings mai mai mai mai mai mai a Gypsy Gypsy Gypsy life.. I just can't. IT IS PERFECT

You may be right but it's because the public wanted more of her older smashing pop music. DWUW is great but do you really see it as a massive smash? Cause I believe Venus can do that, it's fun, extremely catchy (blasting off to a new dimension :music: ) and could just be enjoyed by everyone like the old Gaga. I really hope DWUW can do this cause I love DWUW but I see more of Applause's success or less since it's not the lead.

I don't want to get ahead of myself but I see DWUW as a crossover smash. Like Bryan said, I can easily see it blowing past 150m AI's due to crossover appeal.

What about sales though? Sales mean people like her enough to buy her songs and support her. Radio smashes can be achieved if radio likes you (Maroon 5) even though people don't want your songs. And what about worldwide?

13. Lady Gaga - Do What U Want (feat. R. Kelly)

14. Lady Gaga - Applause

Gaga gonna snatch her own weave a second time this week :ohwell:

Ugh stop, Venus would not do well right now. DWUW is the perfect second single choice, it'll warm people up to her upcoming stuff. Do we not remember Judas or was that not "risky" enough? DWUW is going to soar on radio

Me 2. I have a strong feeling it will be a huge success. I didnt have this feeling with Applause.

Maroon 5 has proven to become the epitome of a turntable artist, but Gaga hasn't. It's because there's still a lot of hype around her (a hell of a lot more than M5 ) But I think it will have a very steady sales run. :)

Neither. That's why I'm so surprised it did so well. Once it stalled at 50m AI's I thought it was done.

Not taking risks and playing as safe as possible will hurt her rather than heal her. If we don't get one of the album's highlights as singles again :rip:

There is a time and a place for risky singles, though. The second pre-album single, and the one that sees the album through its launch, is logically the worst point in time to take a leap of faith. And what's a "highlight" is purely a matter of opinion. Most of the non-Gaga fans I know on another board I visit went bonkers for DWUW--and commented on how much of a departure it was for her and her "brand" (in other words, a risk for her--"risk" is a relative term) and were giggling and talking about how she dodged a bullet when they heard Venus this morning.

You have to make these sort of decisions dispassionately, if you're looking at it from a purely commercial perspective. Gaga's label isn't worrying about which song is artistically best or most meaningful, or which she poured her heart and soul into. They're worried about promoting the album and broadening a fanbase that has become increasingly narrow.

Again, I'm not even trying to defend DWUW from an artistic perspective (I can't resolve my own feelings about the R. Kelly feature, if I'm being honest). But I'm with Nick, I actually think it sounds like her biggest smash in ages.

At the end of the Billboard article about DWUW prediction there was a link. And there I found...

"Billboard projects that "Judas" would have to sell north of 350,000 -- close to 400,000 -- with less than two and-a-half days of sales in the week, in order to possibly debut at No. 1 on the Hot 100"
