For just this week? Or for ever? And did TEOG chart?

It did chart however it was released later as an official single.

The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

Serves Interscope right for ****ing up the original plan.

Even though I understand where they were coming from (wanting to generate lots of buzz for the album release), I still think they were too hasty and thirsty for that #1.

I'm guessing TEOG was released in a different way; yes, it did chart.

We can only speculate based on this tweet if it means this week, or forever. But I'd say forever based on this tweet. "released it in a way that makes it chart-ineligible" says, to me, that it's not going to be on the charts

I'm happy for them. Perhaps they'll realize that DWYW WILL NOT WORK. NOW GET TO WORK BITCH AND STEP UP YOUR GAME OR THE CAREER OF YOUR BIGGEST MONEY-MAKER IS RUINED.

They have done this on purpose you guys so that Venus will be performed on Sunday and released in the UK as the next official single stop with the meltdowns JEEEEZ

I just don't understand how can she say this:

"However we are overwhelmed by the worldwide response + excitement for DO WHAT U WANT feat. R KELLY & are happy to announce it as 2nd Single!"

& then the single isn't able to chart in what is probably her second biggest worldwide market......

Well better her backtracking than her being irrelevant in the UK for the duration of this era tbh. And Interscope should better be ready to back it up with promo because this is probably their fault :smh:

Ikr? And I actually defended them :flop: Hopefully they just make Venus a UK+Europe single, it's probably the only sensible thing to do now.

I agree... backtracking, whilst extremely unprofessional and messy, is what she needs to do right now.

It really disappoints me too... I wasn't happy with the plan being messed up because I like things done as intended, but I was just getting used to the idea of DWUW as the next single... And now it's ineligible for the UK charts :smh:

It doesn't matter whether the general public or anyone here cares about charts..

The whole purpose of DWUW becoming the second single was due to its success on the charts, and now it won't even fully benefit from that.

Yep, that's why I have no problem with fans freaking out over charts this era.

I really hope this means it just won't chart this week.

Pretty understandable tbh. Gaga released DWUW with no intention for it being an official single, and when she saw it was charting so well she (or Interscope?) made a rushed change of single. How we say it in Spanish "eso es tener mucha cara"

What a mess...I just can't anymore

Anyway the best thing they can do now is to release DWYW only in the US and Venus in the rest of the world. So she can perform Venus at X Factor and have the chance to chart very high in the UK. It would be the perfect decision right now. I hope they do this!!!
