Now it will have a video, and I'm willing to bet it will be epic. Let's not forget (I was born in '84) R. Kelly was a huge huge deal in the 90's and has managed to stay relevant. The GP will eat this video up. Radio will love it. She needs this DESPERATELY. The last thing the public wants from her is obscure lyrics. They want a hit... And this is it. We haven't even heard Venus. She cares about us. We still get the song. We still get the video. Maybe (MAYBE) it will slay, too. If we care about Gags and her career as much as we all are assumed to, please realize that without success, everything slowly goes to hell, public stops caring, sticks fingers in ears... And all that's left is monsters arguing about single choices, but no one else gives a ****. I am thrilled. I want her to dominate. Don't you? Don't you??!! Educate the lessors ! Well considering almost all the radio interviews she did the last week, 99% of them knew nothing about Venus's existence.... And who cares what song is a single? I feel like Lady Gaga turned her back on her fanbase. What happened? I thought she didn't care about chart performance. Even if this is interscropes doing its ****ed up. australiagaga 28 Posted October 23, 2013 Share Posted October 23, 2013 Why are you all pressed?! 1) You haven't even heard Venus, so you can't say it would be a better single. 2) We're still getting a video for it. 3) You all were freaking about Applause not doing well on the charts, and finally when one of her songs does and they make it a single, you all freak out and have meltdowns. 4) It's another video we'll get now, because there will be a video for it. Honey, this is Gaga, not Rihanna... with her fanbase she will always have money for a huge tour. You´re probably very young to remember, but the world´s most famous popstar (Madonna!) with the highest selling tours had 12 number one singles in the US in her whole career (that´s 31 years for you). That didn´t prevent her from being the biggest popstar in the world. The lesson is that number ones don´t sell tour tickets... fanbases do.. and that´s what you should care for. Respect yout f******* fanbase and don´t play with our emotions. Venus was the plan, you hyped your ****ing fanbase to the song, release the song and video even if it is not a big hit on the radio. Changing the second single 4 days before release is disrespectful to us. You can now call me idiot and stupid but that´s how I feel. shaneybaby 450 Posted October 23, 2013 Share Posted October 23, 2013 i am not looking at this thread anymore, so much conflict. my final thought on it is i am not happy about dwuw as the single bc its not my fav song. i like it. i dont love it. its medium to me. i wish for venus instead. however, i do not HATE gaga or feel betrayed by her. its not like interscope made her release some song someone wrote for her that she had nothing to do with. she wrote this song and it means a lot to her, just as much as venus or any other song. i am a little disappointed and i admit it has killed some of my excitement for the album and performances bc i was very excited for venus, but oh well. she cannot please everyone and she has to do whats best for her. i wish her the best success w dwuw and look forward to venus and the rest of the album! keep in mind she is aware what u monsters are saying n i think in a weeks time u will regret many comments u have made Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Considering I went to one of Madonnas first tours, I think it's safe to say that I know of her career. And seeing as how her recent tour was very successful after after three decades under her belt, Gaga has been big since 2009, and her record label allows her to make music, but they are a business that has to make a profit or else her ass gets dropped. And actually no, let's not pretend that her fanbase is this unified love child that spreads peace love and cookies. Half of the fans were calling her a **** earlier for doing this. If you are here for the music, then listen to the ****ing music and quit causing a fuss. How is it a betrayal? You are getting the song on the same date and getting a video? You can't say you are here for the music, not the charts, and complain about Venus not being a single when you are getting the song on the same day it was promised. Do you even hear yourself speak? Point blank, if the "fans", and I use that term loosely because the way half of you all acted today is embarrassing, care about the music, then listen to the music and shut up, and don't worry about the GP and the profits.
