Obviously DWUW is more popular than they anticipated, from a business standpoint it's a good decision. It wasn't planned, it's popular across all genres and why not run with it? I don't get it, you want her to be number 1 and successful yet the very people who say that are trashing her, her team and Interscope? Please make up your mind the hypocrisy is at an all new level. Even if Venus sucks (I doubt it, but we'll know on Monday) there are better songs on ARTPOP, at least from what we've heard on SwineFest and snippets. At least imo, DWUW it's boring Also, it's stupid to change things as they go, and, as much as Gaga sais she doesn't write music for the charts, both singles this era has been kinda generic and safe. But there's nothing we can do to change that. So, whatever :ghostney: Oh, and whatever you think about this DUMB decision, please, don't insult our Mother Monster. Also I'm not saying Gaga would ever leak her album (although MIA would!! she is also on interscope i think) just that she has the option to. just a point to prove she does have control of the situation and that we can't entirely make her blameless to just to save ourselves from being disappointed in her I understand what you were trying to say, but why point is that though she could and it'll prove her control, it'll also make things worse so it'll be a pretty stupid exercise in "proving" something. M.I.A isn't on the same level, so that comparison isn't apt. I'm making her almost blameless, because I myself don't think it makes much sense, that she's been hyping Venus, wanted it as the first single and then was suddenly happy to cancel it because of DWYW. The post you made that I responded to also implied that you thought this is Gaga's choice - you literally said "if only we could talk to Gaga in a small room", remember? Be mad about the move itself, don't automatically blame Gaga when she's probably pissed (seeing as she also was during the aforementioned meddling with several BTW singles) sadly for her (in this case) she's the face of her franchise, she's gonna recieve the ****storm and she's going to have to deal with it. I'm sorry tho, Gaga and her label really have been confusing the **** out of everyone for the past 3 weeks, with constant, back-to-back announcements that are unclear and/or contradict each other. I'm not understating or denying the huge autonomy she has compared to everybody else, which is about the biggest you could get in the business save for opening your own label, but please stay grounded when we know what Interscope did in the past.
