Not really. Any promo will go up like this with the pre orders. She can't just make every promo single a full single just because they always rocket up. Slojo 51 Posted October 22, 2013 Share Posted October 22, 2013 Apparently the UK charts have a new rule about "immediate downloads" from album pre-orders where the song isn't eligible to chart on the official UK singles chart. This also apparently happened with Katy's "Walking On Air". If this is the case, then Venus, the official second single, is not eligible to chart either. Completely and utterly ridiculous rule, IMO. I now get why Katy's team didn't release the second single until the album was out. Surely they mean only the "immediate downloads" won't be eligible for counting towards the official chart position. That's why I'm quite against promo singles for GaGa. Her fanbase is big enough for it to happen initially but ultimately dampens the potential of future success. With Gaga #1 in all these places, they cant all be surely from pre-orders, so its creating great buzz. perfect promo for Venus and the album!!
